Internship Overview
The Logistics & Travel Intern will be based at IMPACT’s Geneva Headquarters and will work under the supervision of the Senior Logistics & Travel Officer within the HUB (Logistics & Travel) Unit. The role offers a comprehensive introduction to HQ-level logistics operations, combining strategic coordination with practical day-to-day responsibilities.
The internship is full-time for six months and comes with a monthly stipend of 1,450 CHF (gross), which already includes a contribution toward medical insurance. Interns are also eligible for up to 40% remote work per week, making this a flexible and modern working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
The intern will support a wide range of functions essential to IMPACT’s global operations. In procurement, the role involves following up on requests from HQ and field teams, consolidating procurement files, liaising with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and ensuring compliance with donor and organizational requirements. High-performing interns may also assist with logistics planning for emergency deployments, such as procuring data collection equipment.
In asset and license management, the intern will help maintain IMPACT’s online asset management system, track license requests, and manage the organization’s license portfolio. This exposure provides valuable insight into accountability and resource management within humanitarian organizations.
The role also includes Geneva office management duties, such as monitoring office supplies, coordinating with local suppliers, welcoming visitors, supporting staff induction, and assisting with logistics for meetings, trainings, and events.
A significant component of the internship focuses on travel coordination. The intern will handle staff travel requests, coordinate with HR and Finance teams, book flights and accommodation through partner travel agencies, support visa applications, and help organize bi-monthly induction sessions for new staff before deployment.

Profile and Requirements
IMPACT is seeking candidates with academic backgrounds in fields such as International Relations, Political Science, Social Research, Economics, Humanitarian or Development Studies, or related disciplines. Fluency in English is essential, while a working knowledge of French is an advantage. Applicants should be comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 and have a basic understanding of logistics and procurement processes. Knowledge of IT, information systems, or data science is considered a plus.
Beyond technical skills, successful candidates will demonstrate strong organizational abilities, autonomy, adaptability, and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural and fast-paced environment. An interest in the humanitarian sector or familiarity with donor regulations will further strengthen an application.
