Role Overview
The Regional Technical Advisor, Child Survival (Asia) plays a critical leadership role in advancing Nutrition International’s child survival agenda across the region. The position provides high-level technical guidance to country teams and supports the planning, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of child survival programmes. The role requires close collaboration with regional and global teams to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with global best practices.
Based in the Asia Regional Office, the advisor will work across multiple country contexts, supporting national programmes and contributing to regional learning and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and technical leadership across the child survival portfolio in Asia. Key responsibilities include supporting the design and implementation of evidence-based child health interventions, strengthening programme quality and performance, and ensuring effective monitoring and evaluation.
The role involves close engagement with country teams to develop work plans, review progress, analyze programme data, and identify opportunities for improvement. The advisor will also collaborate with governments, donors, and implementing partners to promote alignment with national strategies and international standards.
In addition, the Regional Technical Advisor will contribute to knowledge sharing and capacity strengthening efforts, supporting learning across countries and helping to build sustainable technical expertise within partner institutions. The role also supports resource mobilization through technical input into proposals, reports, and donor engagement activities.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Nutrition International is seeking a highly qualified professional with a strong background in child health and public health programming. Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, International Development, or a related field, along with at least ten years of progressive experience working on public health or nutrition programmes.
Candidates should demonstrate proven expertise in child survival or child health interventions, as well as experience working with governments and international development partners. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. Fluency in English is required, and experience working in the Asia region is an advantage.
