About the Role

As the Communication and Graphic Design Officer – Regional, you will play a central role in promoting DRC’s mission, mandate, and impact across the MEAE Hub. Working from Amman, you will collaborate closely with programme teams in multiple country offices to ensure that DRC’s communication materials are compelling, accurate, and visually aligned with branding standards.

This position blends strategic communication, creative design, and regional coordination. It requires someone who can think visually, write effectively, and work across diverse cultural and operational contexts.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Design and layout reports, publications, and communication products that are visually appealing and aligned with DRC’s branding guidelines.
  • Support the planning and implementation of communication and visibility strategies for the MEAE Hub and country offices.
  • Collect information and coordinate with regional country offices to produce engaging communication content.
  • Assist project managers in developing effective communication and visibility plans for projects.
  • Create engaging social media content, including posts, stories, and videos to strengthen DRC’s digital presence.
  • Develop project-related materials such as leaflets, banners, newsletters, thematic bulletins, and photobooks tailored to specific contexts.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on visual identity and communication standards.
  • Prepare and translate press releases, agendas, and meeting minutes as required.
  • Capture high-quality stories, photographs, and videos at events and field activities.

This is a dynamic position that combines creative production with strategic communication planning. It also requires hands-on engagement with colleagues across the region.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A university degree in graphic design, communication, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification).
  • At least 2 years of experience in graphic design, communications, or social media management.
  • Strong writing skills and proven ability to develop impactful communication and advocacy materials.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
  • Fluency in Arabic is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience in an NGO setting is highly desirable.
  • Regional experience in the Middle East, Asia, or Europe is an advantage.
