The Role: Project Manager, PG&E
The Project Manager role is central to Mercy Corps’ Philanthropic Growth & Engagement Department, which focuses on raising impactful and flexible funds from individuals, companies, and foundations, while elevating the organization’s global profile. The department combines fundraising professionals, marketing specialists, development operations experts, and digital platform managers, all working collaboratively to share Mercy Corps’ global impact through storytelling, relationship-building, and strategic campaigns.
Reporting directly to the Deputy Director, Development Operations & Analytics, the Project Manager will oversee the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing and fundraising campaigns. From mass market initiatives to major giving efforts, this role ensures that projects move forward smoothly, on time, and in alignment with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will design and implement workflows, project management processes, and RACI charts to streamline department operations. They will establish Standard Operating Procedures for platforms such as Wrike, improve cross-team visibility, and help coordinate activities across fundraising portfolios.
By maintaining a strong focus on collaboration, this role ensures that campaigns across Mass Market, Midlevel, and Major Giving fundraising portfolios are aligned, donor-focused, and executed with excellence. Responsibilities include:
- Leading strategic projects and key departmental initiatives.
- Supporting mass market, digital, and relationship-based fundraising campaigns.
- Coordinating internal teams and external agencies to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality deliverables.
- Monitoring project timelines, identifying bottlenecks, and proactively recommending solutions.
- Contributing to annual revenue and fundraising goals through strong project coordination.
Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates will bring a minimum of four years of project management experience, including experience with project planning, documentation, and close-out. Fundraising and marketing experience is required, along with proficiency in project management platforms (Wrike experience is a plus).
