Position Overview
The Administrative Officer (NO-1) serves as the focal point for administrative management services in the duty station. The incumbent is responsible for delivering efficient and cost-effective administrative support services while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Policy Implementation and Compliance
Ensure the correct application of administrative policies and procedures, advise staff, support strategic planning, and recommend improvements to internal systems and controls.
2. Budget Management
Monitor and manage the administrative budget, prepare cost estimates, oversee expenditures, and ensure smooth operational performance.
3. Administrative Support Services
Oversee office services such as space management, transport, equipment, travel arrangements, communications, and local procurement to ensure efficient delivery.
4. Property and Asset Management
Support inventory control, property management, and participate in oversight mechanisms such as the Property Survey Board.
5. Contract Management
Monitor administrative contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and organizational standards.
6. Staff Learning and Development
Collaborate on training initiatives and capacity-building activities to enhance administrative performance.
7. Coordination and Partnerships
Work with other UN agencies, local authorities, and implementing partners on administrative matters.
Minimum Requirements
- University degree in social sciences, business management, administration, finance, or related field
- At least one year of relevant professional work experience in office management, administration, finance, accounting, ICT, human resources, or supply functions
- Fluency in Spanish
- Intermediate English proficiency is desirable
- Experience in an emergency duty station is an asset
