About the Role
As an intern in Governance Data and Analytics, you will support the collection, analysis, and dissemination of governance data to inform UNDP policies and global development initiatives. Your key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the SDG 16 Global Progress Report and the 2026 Voluntary National Review.
- Assisting with data analysis and visualization for governance indicators.
- Contributing to the implementation of the SDG 16 Survey, including preparing capacity-building workshops.
- Supporting UNDP’s participation in the Praia City Group on Governance Statistics, advancing international governance data standards.
- Preparing webinars, in-person meetings, and advocacy activities related to governance data.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this internship, candidates must:
- Be in the final year of a bachelor’s degree (Statistics, Data Science, Sociology, Psychology, or other social sciences) or enrolled in a postgraduate program in related fields.
- Have recently graduated (within one year) in a relevant field.
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program undertaking the internship as part of that program.
Language Requirements:
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- French is desirable.
- Norwegian, Swedish, or Danish are considered assets.
Competencies Required:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated interest in governance, rule of law, and global development.
