Role Overview
The Human Resources and Administration Assistant will support DRC’s field operations in the Donetsk region by ensuring efficient HR and administrative processes. This position is a national contract role based in Sloviansk and is ideal for candidates who enjoy working in an organised, structured environment and are motivated by contributing to humanitarian work.
The role is central to the smooth functioning of the field office, providing support to HR processes, administration, and operational logistics. The successful candidate will assist staff members, coordinate recruitment and onboarding, manage administrative records, and contribute to the overall effectiveness of DRC’s operations in the region.

Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Human Resources and Administration Assistant include, but are not limited to:
- Implementing HR policies and ensuring compliance with labour laws and organisational procedures.
- Supporting the recruitment process, including tracking vacancies, managing applications, and assisting with job offers.
- Coordinating staff onboarding and preparing induction materials for new employees.
- Managing HR records, contracts, leave balances, and personnel files to ensure accurate documentation.
- Preparing timesheets and supporting performance management processes.
- Providing general administrative support, including office supplies management, logistics coordination, and documentation.
- Assisting with travel arrangements, visitor coordination, and field mission logistics.
The position may also require occasional travel within Ukraine to support operational needs in other locations, providing a varied and dynamic work experience.
Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:
- A university degree in Human Resource Management, Administration, or a related field.
- At least one year of relevant experience in HR, administration, or office management.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A good command of English at a B1 level or higher is desirable.
Additionally, candidates are expected to demonstrate key competencies such as professionalism, collaboration, leadership, clear communication, and integrity, which are fundamental to DRC’s organisational culture.
Contract Details
- Start Date: February 2026
- Location: Sloviansk, Donetsk Region, Ukraine
- Contract Type: National contract with a 3-month probation period, followed by a renewable 12-month contract subject to performance and funding.
