The Major Gifts Officer will manage a portfolio of 100–135 donors and prospects capable of contributing between $10,000 and $100,000. The role focuses on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding high-net-worth individuals to secure unrestricted funding that supports Mercy Corps’ global mission.
Approximately 25% of the portfolio will involve acquiring new donors, while the remainder will focus on retaining and upgrading existing supporters.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors and prospects.
- Develop personalized cultivation and stewardship plans.
- Conduct donor meetings and presentations.
- Build compelling cases for unrestricted giving.
- Identify and engage new donor prospects.
