Role Overview: IT Support Officer
Location: 52–55 Camden Street, Dublin 2, Ireland
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Hybrid)
Reporting to: ICT Operations Manager
Salary Scale: GBF 4 – €36,301 to €40,335
Travel Requirement: Occasional travel to the UK office when required
As IT Support Officer, you will be responsible for delivering responsive, professional IT support services to both office-based and remote users. You will work across technical troubleshooting, hardware deployment, application support, training, and project implementation.

Key Responsibilities
1. User Support & Troubleshooting
You’ll respond promptly to support requests via email, phone, and remote support tools. Using structured troubleshooting methods, you will diagnose and resolve issues efficiently, escalating where necessary and documenting outcomes thoroughly.
2. Hardware & Software Setup
The role includes imaging, testing, and installing PCs and phones, connecting users to network services (including printers and email), and supporting antivirus and patch configuration.
You’ll also help prepare emergency response equipment and provide pre-departure IT support for offsite workers.
3. Application Support & Training
The IT Support Officer provides support for Concern’s application suite, including Microsoft 365 tools.
You’ll contribute to training initiatives, assist with induction sessions, and support meeting and conference room technology setup.
4. Field & Global Support
Beyond Dublin, you’ll offer IT advice to field-based IT officers and help maintain the global fixed asset register and network documentation.
5. Project & Departmental Support
You’ll assist with the implementation of IT projects, provide departmental cover when required, and support equipment coordination alongside the IT Administrator.
This role may also include overseas travel for support assignments.
Candidate Profile
Concern is seeking a candidate who combines technical capability with a strong customer-focused mindset.
Essential Requirements:
- At least one year of experience in a busy IT department
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Windows environments
- Knowledge of PC, laptop, and printer diagnostics and repair
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Adaptable, resourceful, and eager to learn
Desirable Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD administration
