Data Analyst Position Summary

The Data Analyst will provide analytical, methodological, and technical support to the Energy Policy Team (EPT). Reporting directly to the Chief Data Scientist, the Data Analyst will contribute to research, modeling, dashboard development, and evidence-based policy initiatives that support ICSC’s climate and energy agenda.

This Data Analyst role is ideal for professionals interested in energy systems, sustainability analytics, machine learning, and climate policy research.

Data Analyst Responsibilities

The selected Data Analyst will:

Conduct Data-Driven Research

  • Perform research and analysis related to the energy sector.
  • Support evidence-based climate and energy policy development.
  • Develop analytical tools, models, and dashboards.

Prepare Technical Reports

  • Produce technical advisory reports.
  • Create policy briefs and presentations.
  • Develop visualizations for stakeholders.

Recommend Analytical Tools

  • Evaluate data analysis methodologies.
  • Identify applications and technologies that improve research effectiveness.

Support Advocacy and Information Campaigns

  • Provide reliable evidence and data.
  • Present findings in ways understandable to technical and non-technical audiences.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Work closely with Energy Policy Team members.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders and partner organizations.
  • Ensure alignment with ICSC objectives.

Perform Additional Duties

  • Carry out other assignments as directed by supervisors.

Data Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
