The Role: Communications Manager

The Communications Manager will lead and execute a comprehensive communications strategy designed to elevate GIH’s profile among government, industry, and philanthropic audiences.

This is a highly entrepreneurial role for a professional comfortable operating both strategically and tactically. The position has a strong B2B focus and requires excellence in digital content, website management, and LinkedIn-driven engagement.

You will be responsible for ensuring brand consistency, digital performance, and audience growth across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Website Leadership

You will oversee end-to-end management of GIH’s global website, including:

  • Strategy and content governance
  • CMS administration
  • UX coordination
  • SEO optimization
  • Localization support
  • Analytics monitoring and performance improvement

This role demands strong technical fluency combined with editorial oversight.

2. Social Media Growth (LinkedIn Focus)

A major focus will be growing and managing GIH’s LinkedIn presence while maintaining a strategic footprint across other relevant platforms.

You’ll develop targeted messaging for policymakers, industry leaders, and philanthropic stakeholders — ensuring content drives measurable engagement.

3. Content Strategy & Production

You will curate and produce high-quality content in multiple formats, including:

  • Website pages
  • Blog posts
  • Reports
  • Infographics
  • Videos
  • Newsletters
  • Partner profiles

Outstanding copywriting is a core requirement. Messaging must be sharp, persuasive, and aligned with strategic priorities.

4. Regional Collaboration

You’ll work closely with teams across Asia, Europe, and the Americas to localize content and ensure global brand coherence while respecting regional nuance.

Cross-cultural collaboration and time-zone agility are essential.

5. Performance & Optimization

The role includes tracking digital KPIs across website and social platforms. You’ll use analytics tools such as Google Analytics and LinkedIn Analytics to evaluate performance and recommend improvements.

An editorial calendar aligned with key milestones will also be under your leadership.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should bring:

  • 5–7 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, or digital content roles
  • Strong B2B marketing background
  • Proven website management experience (CMS, SEO, UX, analytics)
  • Demonstrated success growing LinkedIn presence
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Experience collaborating with global or multi-regional teams
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, digital media, or related field
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
