As a Senior Associate, Communications and Advocacy, you will support global initiatives focused on large-scale food fortification and nutrition advocacy. Key Responsibilities

Communications and Content Development

The Senior Associate will support the development and implementation of strategic communications initiatives that elevate nutrition and food fortification efforts. Key duties include drafting and editing content for websites, newsletters, reports, and digital platforms, as well as supporting social media and campaign activities. You will also help review and finalize advocacy materials such as briefing notes, infographics, and fact sheets to ensure consistency, clarity, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement

In this role, you will contribute to global advocacy efforts by supporting campaigns, policy engagement activities, and key international moments. You will assist with the coordination of advocacy and technical working groups, providing logistical and organizational support where needed. Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, including government counterparts, NGOs, donors, and global partners, will be an important aspect of the position.

Collaboration and Coordination

The Senior Associate will work closely with internal communications, knowledge, and program teams to ensure messaging is aligned across initiatives. You will support cross-country coordination, assist with planning and reporting activities, and contribute to initiatives that raise the visibility of food fortification and nutrition programs at both global and regional levels.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring experience in communications, advocacy, or public affairs within international development, public health, or a related field. Strong writing and editing skills are essential, along with the ability to communicate complex and technical information in a clear and accessible way. Experience working in multi-stakeholder environments and contributing to coalition-based initiatives is highly valued.

Candidates should hold a university degree in communications, journalism, public policy, international relations, public health, or a related discipline. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are important for success in this role. Fluency in English is required, and additional language skills are considered an asset.
