Job Overview: Technical Specialist, Well-being Capacity

The Technical Specialist, Well-being Capacity will play an important role in strengthening how World Vision supports the well-being of its staff globally.

The position focuses on helping regional and national teams build the capacity to design and implement their own staff care and well-being initiatives. These initiatives must align with the organization’s global Staff Care and Well-being Strategy and Theory of Change, while also being adaptable to different cultural and operational contexts.

Unlike purely technical roles, this position emphasizes collaboration, relationship-building, and practical problem solving. The successful candidate will work closely with teams around the world to ensure well-being initiatives are locally relevant and embedded within everyday organizational practices.

The role is ideal for professionals who understand the realities of working in high-pressure humanitarian environments and are passionate about improving support systems for staff members serving in those settings.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum requirements include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in fields such as Employee Well-being, Psychology, Sociology, Training, Adult Learning, or related disciplines
  • At least seven years of professional experience in organizational development, capacity building, or humanitarian staff care
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training in multicultural environments
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across global, regional, and national teams
  • Strong communication and partnership-building skills
  • Fluency in English, with additional languages considered an advantage

Candidates must also be comfortable adapting frameworks to diverse cultural contexts and working with colleagues from different backgrounds.
