About the Role
The Communications, Campaigns and Outreach Manager is a senior leadership position within the organisation. The role sits on the Senior Management Team and leads the Communications Department.
This position goes far beyond content creation. It is about designing and executing powerful advocacy campaigns, strengthening stakeholder engagement, shaping narratives around tax justice, and ensuring the organisation’s voice resonates across Africa and globally.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications Leadership
The Manager will lead the implementation of TJNA’s communications strategy and develop a comprehensive multi-channel action plan. This includes ensuring consistent messaging across digital platforms, media engagements, publications, and campaign materials.
Core responsibilities include:
- Developing advocacy messages, policy briefs, blogs, fact sheets, and multimedia materials.
- Overseeing the organisation’s digital presence, including social media and website content.
- Designing and directing high-impact campaigns from concept to execution.
- Establishing monitoring and evaluation systems to measure communications effectiveness.
- Enhancing organisational visibility at continental and global levels.

Department Leadership and Management
As head of the Communications Department, the Manager will provide strategic direction and operational oversight.
Responsibilities include:
- Recruiting, supervising, and mentoring communications staff.

- Collaborating with senior leadership to align communications with organisational priorities.
