Role Overview: Digital Content Creator

The Digital Content Creator will work closely with UNICEF Thailand’s Communication Team and collaborate with programme and fundraising teams. The primary goal is to produce engaging digital content aligned with UNICEF’s strategic objectives, brand identity, and child rights mandate.

This role is particularly focused on short-form video content and trend-driven storytelling. The consultant will ideate and produce content designed to resonate with target audiences across social media platforms.

The position follows a home-based modality, though the consultant is required to come to the office at least one day per week. The role operates under the direct supervision of the Communication Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

The Digital Content Creator will undertake several important assignments, including:

  • Contributing to and aligning with monthly content plans and campaign priorities
  • Conceptualizing and developing short-form video ideas aligned with ongoing campaigns
  • Managing end-to-end production of short-form videos, including scripting, storyboarding, filming, and editing
  • Optimizing content for platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • Designing supporting graphics aligned with UNICEF Thailand’s brand guidelines
  • Monitoring emerging social media trends and presenting monthly insights with practical recommendations

In addition, the consultant will be expected to produce deliverables such as monthly content plans for Reels and TikTok, graphic sets for digital campaigns including awareness content on issues such as PM2.5 and air pollution, and regular trend analysis presentations.

Weekly meetings with the team will ensure alignment on progress and upcoming campaigns.

Travel and Payment Details

While the consultancy is primarily Bangkok-based, the consultant may be required to travel outside Bangkok for field visits, meetings, workshops, or other related activities. Travel expenses, including airfare and accommodation, will be covered by UNICEF Thailand in accordance with its regulations, subject to prior approval.

Payment will be made upon the timely submission and approval of satisfactory deliverables, as outlined in the agreed work plan.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To qualify for this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with teams and colleagues
  • Excellent attention to detail and good time management skills
  • Sound judgment around risk, confidentiality, and safeguarding when creating content, especially featuring children
  • Excellent Thai and working English (spoken and written) for scripting and interviews
  • Confidence appearing on camera or directing others on camera
  • Experience conducting interviews for case studies is an advantage
  • Experience working with UNICEF or other development organizations is an advantage

Core competencies include collaboration, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage ambiguity and complexity.
