Role Overview

As a Marketing Communications Manager, you will lead the strategy and execution of integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns. The primary goal is to connect researchers, institutions, and professionals with funding opportunities, research initiatives, and career development programs.

This position sits within the External Relations team and works closely with senior leadership, including the Senior Vice President of External Relations. You will act as both a strategist and executor—ensuring campaigns are impactful, data-driven, and aligned with the foundation’s mission.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end marketing campaigns across channels such as email, web, social media, paid advertising, and events. You’ll translate complex scientific initiatives into clear, engaging marketing strategies with defined goals and measurable KPIs.

A significant part of your work will involve collaborating with internal teams—editorial, digital, creative, and program leadership—to craft compelling narratives and content. You will also design audience segmentation strategies to effectively target researchers, institutions, and key stakeholders.

Additionally, you’ll develop audience journeys that encourage engagement, whether it’s applying for funding, attending events, or participating in programs. Ensuring consistent messaging across all channels is critical, especially when communicating complex scientific concepts in an accessible way.

You’ll also lead marketing efforts for events such as webinars, symposia, and workshops—handling everything from promotion to post-event engagement. Continuous testing and optimization will be part of your workflow, helping improve campaign performance and reach.

Required Qualifications
