The organization is currently recruiting a Communications Specialist (IPSA-11) to support the Central African Forest Initiative (CAFI), offering a fully remote, home-based role with global impact.
About the Role
This full-time, one-year contract position sits within UNDP’s Bureau for Management Services under the Nature, Climate, and Energy practice area. The role is open to Tier 1 and Tier 2 applicants, meaning it prioritizes current UNDP, UNCDF, and UNV personnel under specific contract types.

Ensuring high-quality outputs is a core aspect of the role. Responsibilities include reviewing and editing communication materials such as reports and brochures, designing infographics and visual content using tools like Canva or Figma, managing external communication vendors, and maintaining a centralized database of communication assets. You will also contribute to refining CAFI’s communication strategy using modern, innovative approaches.
Media Relations and Outreach
The role involves active engagement with media and stakeholders. You will draft press releases, talking points, and media kits, coordinate interviews, respond to media inquiries, support field visits for journalists and photographers, and identify opportunities to highlight CAFI’s achievements.
