UNESCO Project Assistant Job Description

The UNESCO Project Assistant, Communication Information (CI) will support the implementation of projects related to press freedom, media development, freedom of expression, and access to information.

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the UNESCO Regional Office in Jakarta and provide operational, technical, administrative, and project management support for Communication and Information programmes.

UNESCO Project Assistant Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Support project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Assist with project budget monitoring and financial reporting.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, speeches, and official documentation.
  • Conduct research and collect project-related information.
  • Organize workshops, seminars, meetings, and outreach events.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and administrative support.
  • Prepare invitation letters and participant lists.
  • Support procurement and consultant recruitment processes.
  • Process contractual documentation and payment requests.
  • Coordinate translation, printing, publication, and document distribution.
  • Maintain communication with partners and stakeholders.
  • Support donor research and project proposal development.
  • Update programme files and project records.
  • Perform additional administrative and project-related duties as assigned.
