Purpose of the Role

The main goal of this consultancy roster is to provide specialized, on-demand technical support to UNICEF country offices, regional teams, and headquarters. Experts will be called upon to deliver targeted, results-driven support in key HIV programme areas.

2. Paediatric and Adolescent HIV Care

3. Adolescent SRHR & Prevention

Consultants will design and scale up HIV prevention programmes targeting adolescents, especially vulnerable groups like adolescent girls and young women. This includes integrating sexual and reproductive health services into broader health systems.

4. Data Analysis & Knowledge Management

A strong emphasis is placed on data-driven decision-making. Experts will analyze epidemiological data (such as DHS and MICS surveys), develop reports, and support countries in strengthening their data systems.

5. Resource Mobilization & Partnerships

Consultants will help develop funding proposals, investment cases, and donor strategies, particularly for major financing bodies like the Global Fund and PEPFAR.

6. Gender & Social Determinants

Addressing structural barriers such as poverty, gender inequality, stigma, and discrimination is a core component of this role.

7. Technical Writing & Editing

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Medicine, Social Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Mid-level consultants: 8–12 years of experience
• Senior consultants: 12+ years of experience
• Proven expertise in at least one HIV thematic area
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Experience working with governments and international stakeholders
• Ability to work independently in multicultural environments

Additional experience in health economics, public financial management, or resource tracking is highly desirable.
